The team of Rastin Road Tech Electronics has started its specialized activities in the field of intelligent transportation systems (ITS) since 2009.

By utilizing platforms such as communication networks, mobile internet, SMS services, satellite positioning, and GNSS systems, rapid development of intelligent control and monitoring tools and solutions has been facilitated online in this field. With the company's focus on the specialized area of intelligent transportation systems (ITS) based on existing infrastructure and potentials, long-term goals have been set for the development of the necessary systems for this industry and its flourishing. It is hoped that the collaboration of various stakeholders and players in this field will lead to the realization of these goals in the near future. Among these goals is the development of integration and standardization of equipment, software, and services, which will consequently reduce time and energy waste and increase efficiency (reduce waste) in the ITS sector. In recent years, this has led to extensive studies and efforts by the technical team of this company, and it is hoped that it will receive more attention from stakeholders in the ITS field in the country.

Traffic data collection systems, vehicle speed measurement systems, fleet management systems and accident management, automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) systems, parking management systems (both enclosed and on-street), and variable message signs (VMS) are examples of intelligent transportation systems that make the most use of these tools and have various applications in urban roads and intercity highways. They are always of interest to traffic control centers of municipalities as well as road management centers of the Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization. Rastin Road Tech is proud to be one of the active companies in this field and, as a partner of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, has taken steps towards the development of these systems and the implementation of new technologies in them. On the other hand, the efforts of the company's managers and the support of the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology in achieving constructive participation and synergy (instead of unhealthy competition), developing capabilities, and preserving the rights of executing companies and other stakeholders in the ITS field led to the establishment of the Iranian Intelligent Transportation Systems Employers' Association (IITSA) in 2020, which is hoped to foster the flourishing and development of stakeholder participation in this field.
